And I mean BIG. HUGE. Donald Trump's ego big.
OK, so I play a lot of Minecraft (among other stuff) as you can tell. And one of my favorite mods- highly recommended- is Lycanites Mobs (download link below). This mod adds tons of new weapons and mobs to Minecraft- mostly from video games (like the scrab from Abe's Oddworld) and a few from tabletop RPGs and/or pop culture (beholder!) and/or folklore (chupacabra). One thing it doesn't have which I would like to add to my MC game are minions- I would love to be able to train or recruit guards for my fortresses and settlements.
While watching danTDM's review of Lycanites Mobs on YouTube, I thought, "Man, wouldn't it be cool to do a Minecraft mod that adds all kinds of classical monsters- giants, dragons, ogres, dwarves, goblins, and all that other stuff to Minecraft?" Then I thought, "Hold the Hell on. Why not a mod that adds Sin Nombre RPG's mobs into Minecraft?" Not all 243, of course, but maybe 10-12 from each biome- and maybe some NPCs who could be hired or recruited, too. And some semi-historical weapons, maybe a magic system of some sort. EPIC! Not only would that make a pretty cool mod, it would also advertise Sin Nombre RPG.
Only one problem: I don't know a damn thing about programming. Seriously- I don't even remember any qbasic anymore, even though the first computer I ever touched was a TRS 80, where EVERYTHING had to be programmed onto 5.25" floppy disks. But my advancing middle age notwithstanding, this would require me to a) learn something totally new that I know crap about and is probably pretty difficult anyway, or b) commission it.
So step 1 is: find someone- or multiple someones- with the expertise and interest in working on this. Step 2 would be: findout how much they would charge and if I could even afford it.
Bottom line: I'm looking to talk with anyone who can and is willing to work on a custom MC mod. HMU!
